This is a plant-based wax, so it is natural and environmentally friendly. Soy wax is entirely biodegradable and does not produce soot or odours, unlike mineral waxes such as paraffin. Soy wax melts at a low temperature, so if you leave it in full sun it may go soft! This kit also includes a reel of cotton wick. The kit includes enough wax to make six moulded candles as well as three tealights. It is fastest and safest to melt wax in the microwave. However, if you do not have a microwave, you can use the bain-marie technique with help from an adult so you don’t burn yourself. Once you have used up all the wax, you can buy a refill kit.
