Freehand drawing a creative method

In its purest form, freehand drawing is the classic design without the help of mechanical means. The emphasis is therefore on free drawing with simple tools as the most direct and intuitive way of expressing our visual thoughts and sensations. Just as in writing, the skill of free drawing is acquired and developed by practicing. This does not require innate talent, nor expensive tools, but rather time, patience and perseverance and the will to exercise. More important is to understand how sensory vision and visual thinking work together in the creative process of drawing.
