The COATES family in England has been specializing in the production of charcoal paintings for 30 years. Painting charcoals are produced from willow branches which are classified and burned in their natural diameter and shape, which is why there is the unevenness between them. This creates charcoal rods with a velvety texture and a deep black hue.
