Oil painting the book of beginner, Adrian Hill

To the one who wants to paint with oil and who digested the contents of this little book well, I would like to add a small postscript. So I say to him in simple terms.
Oil painting is a plastic means of expression. Don't be afraid to use too much colour. Enjoy the natural movement your hand makes. It's half the joy.
Don't torture your subject because that's how it loses its original freshness. Don't believe in anything that refers to this book as if it were gospel.
Try above all to present and develop your own style in painting and do not bother to imitate someone else's technique.
Then, and only then, artistic activity remains an attractive but also constructive adventure.
